‘A Touch of Blue’ At-Home Transformation

8th & 9th September 2018

Perched on the top of a hill, this family home had the most amazing views across the valley and what a perfect backdrop this provided for the ceremony that took in the front garden, under a tree. The sun most definitely had its hat on! As a result, many of the guests took advantage of the swimming pool during the cocktail reception – socks and shoes off (for the men) and feet in. Dinner was served at the back of the house where a temporary wooden floor and stretch canvas had been installed days earlier. Soft candle light from the tables and ‘amber’ coloured uplighters created a romantic feel as the sun went down. Coffee and Crepes (from a local Crepe Van) were served at the front of the house after dinner and dancing took place on rugs, that had been put down to cover the gravel. Sunday saw the same number of people back at the house for a hog roast with all the trimmings. The tables from the day before were placed under the tree in the garden (and covered with red and white table cloths) and there was plenty of soft seating for guests to relax on.
